The works are selected by an outside juror every year — this year was Jorge Rojas, an artist, curator and art educator based in Salt Lake City. He chose from a range of pieces, from sculpture to graphic design from BFA students in the Art & Art History Department.
An awards ceremony during the opening of the exhibit recognized all of the students that have won scholarships this year, in addition to the Best in Show awards, Faculty Picks and the Rolapp Award. This year’s Rolapp winner was Kristen McDermaid.
The exhibit, which is open (and free) to the public, runs through May 2.
